Egging Things On...

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far, away (High School trip to the Soviet Union including a stint in Moscow) I took a little trip and brought home a black laquer egg in my satchel of souveniers. In September, Bailey took some kind of maternal interest in said egg and began carrying it about the house. On this particular day, she put on her best serious face and explained that big things were going to happen. "Yook Mommy. It's going to hatch, see my egg is hatching."

I dutifully photographed the impending event and stood watch with her until she lost interest and scampered off to play elsewhere. Later when the subject came up again I went ahead and explained that this egg was just for pretty. Such fanciful notions!

Our Modern Family...

And that is how we stay connected in our humble abode when a flight of stairs divides us physically....so now you know it takes a village, a good internet connection AND a Crackberry to raise a quality kidlet.
