The Quest for a Creative and a Literal Outlet...

Observe if you will the childproofing of outlets within the alleged "reach" of Senor Destructo and Princess Busybee...Yes, the kitchen island is labeled for our emerging reader...but I digress, focus please on yet another secured outlet in our loving home environment.
The day (November 6, 2009) started much like many others minus the observance of H's 5th birthday that is... The kids were enjoying a morning program while I engaged in frivolities such as inserting contacts, brushing teeth and searching for matching socks. Until, my Mommy ears detected a humming noise with a smidgen of background giggling. So I scurried downstairs to investigate and found Hayden proudly standing next to a vacuum that was powered up! I left it with the cord wrapped up and tucked inside - not to mention that it was in another room! A visual sweep of the perimeter allowed me to surmise pretty rapidly what my wee little perps had been up to.
They each have their own stepstool to use when we are making use of the kitchen island. But it turns out that these simple stools are also quite handy if you are highly motivated to make magic with the big dirt sucker. Fortunately for me, my little criminals are not yet into covering their tracks! Needless to say, outlet covers are back on the old shopping list!
But I must admit that despite my shock and irritation, I was tickled to see the munchkins working like such a well oiled team and relishing each others clever company. This represents a bit of a milestone for us, their powers are growing and the joint plotting has officially begun...
