Dig it!

This spring we started a family garden. A friend mentioned told me about a fellow named Mel Bartholomew and I picked up his book on Square Foot Gardening. I gathered supplies and prepped them with Michael's help. On April 20th, we were finally ready to break ground on the big project so the Mini's and I headed out to shovel away.
But first I simply had to take a moment to document Miss Bailey and her fabulous fashion sense. Doesn't she look ready to ride the range? A new house was being built not far from ours and she was a bit distracted by the carpenter's cacophany. But soon enough we were digging away and there was no turning back! Along the way, we discovered an important bit of information; A wheelbarrow full of turf equals a whole lot of fun!
Hayden was all to eager to get his hands (and just about everything else) dirty.
At first, Bailey was not so sure about that!
But before long, she was on board with the get grimy plan.
Nothing beats the joy of discovery - except watching your children when they are caught up in that feeling.
Of course, sometimes all of that joy and curiosity can just sweep you off your feet! Unless you are a somewhat jaded three year old that is...Don't you love how Bailey just walks away as if nothing is happening to her big bro?
