Eggstra Crafty Fun

By March 24th, spring fever was in full swing and we were ready for friendly weather and parkdates! But first we took a bit of time for a signs of spring craft. I cut out bunches of pale blue eggs on cardstock and then watered down a bit of Elmer's glue in bowls. Each kiddo got a handfull of brown yarn along with a pair of scissors and I tasked them with snipping yarn for their bird nest. We dipped our yarn in the glue mixture and nested our little hearts out. It took a bit of extra tape to keep them up, but they sure did brighten up the house as we waited for our outdoor weather to appear!
Hayden's Nest (He dipped a few individual strands and then his cleverness kicked in and he worked with a whole handful in order to call it quits.)
Bailey's Nest (She worked painstakingly on each piece of yarn and the position of each egg. Believe it or not, her sparse bird digs took longer than Hayden's bountiful nest!)
Mommy's Nest (I combined both of my kiddos techniques to get a nest I was happy with before they spread glue throughout out the house!)
