Nighty Night Innovations...

Last night I was hosting my Bunco Group. For me, this meant a fun filled evening with the girls on the main level. For Michael, this meant corralling his restless offspring upstairs and putting both to bed quietly despite the laughter and chick-maiden chatter below them. What a trooper! In the midst of this scenario my Knight in a Shining Neck Tie concocted a fabulous scheme to keep Sir Hayden's dilly-dallying at a minimum. As H attempted to hang onto his favorite train companion of the day, Daddy deftly snatched up Spencer while getting H started with his potty break. He then seamlessly announced that Spencer would chuff along to Hayden's next destination in his bedtime routine and that as soon as Hayden was done with this step of the process he could come along and find his special train. Darned if H didn't skip his nightly party on the potty to scoot right along to his bathroom for handwashing, toothbrushing and a meet up with Spencer. And so as H brushed his choppers, Spencer was smuggled out to his bedroom and they met up for storytime soon after. This all happened so quietly I was unaware that they were even being put to sleep. What a craft fellow that Daddy is, thanks for the night off in my own house Michael!
