So last week, H is sitting on the potty which somehow is where he comes up with all sorts of exotic wonderings. I was chatting with my friend Mary when he popped his head out of the facilities and blurts out some unintelligible query. He was persistent with this one and eventually I stopped to ask him what he needed. It took me a few more repetitions to decipher this one but here is what he was considering...
"Mommy, when Bailey grows up, who will grow in her tummy?"
Mary and I were understandably taken aback by this one. I told him that I really wasn't sure, seeing as we hadn't met them yet and then encouraged him to wrap up his potty break rather than interrogate Mommy while he was bottomless. My thorough follow up consisted of asking him what made him think of this. He matter of factly responded that he and Bailey grew in my tummy so that is why he got this idea to ask who would grow in Bailey's tummy someday. Good gravy!

Of course, I told Jon. And my sister. And my mom! They all thought that was hilarious and quite the observation!
ReplyDeleteAnd you've got to know he's thinking of all sorts of things he doesn't even get the chance to ask you about! lol
Oh good gravy Mary - Don't get me started wondering about the thoughts that chatterbox of mine doesn't get a chance to utter! Can you even imagine? haha...
